The company was founded in the 1890s by the name giver Ernst Thomas as a small metal hardware producer which was typical for the region. At that time fittings for wooden cases and forged tools for poking furnaces were the focus of production. <\/p>\n
In 1909 the patent was granted for the \u201cMuldensteinschraube\u201d, a special screw which is designed to be applied during casting of concrete to serve as a fixing point for e.g. heavy duty press machines, after the concrete is dried. <\/p>\n
The geometrical properties of the \u201cMuldensteinschraube\u201d (hollow stone screw) are chosen according to DIN 529 Form F. Afterwards the focus of production shifted to hot forged and cold formed fasteners.
Hammerhead-, eye, anchor and special bolts for civil engineering and mechanical engineering industries are the majority of the production nowadays. Some of our specialties are overlength, special sizes, small quantities and short delivery time. <\/p>\n
